We have been following CBS' remake of Hawaii 5-0 since we announced its refresh last year with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci partnering with Peter Lenkov for the series pilot. It seems that CBS has found a director for their upcoming remake pilot and its someone that many may not have expected. Our pals at IESB.net are reporting that filmmaker Len Wiseman has come aboard to direct the pilot.

Bruce Willis confirmed a fifth instalment of the movie franchise, in which he has starred since 1988, is likely to be made in 2011. He said: "I think we're going to do a 'Die Hard 5' next year." The 54-year-old star wants Len Wiseman, who directed the last movie in the series 'Live Free or Die Hard' in 2007, to come back to do the next film.

It seems that CBS has found a director for their upcoming remake pilot and he comes from the feature film world. IESB.net is reporting that filmmaker Len Wiseman has come aboard to direct the pilot for CBS' reboot Hawaii Five-O . Wiseman will direct a growing cast that includes Alex O'Loughlin, who will play the lead of Steve McGarrett, Taryn Manning, who will play Mary Ann McGarrett, Steve's sister, and Daniel Dae Kim, who will play Detective Chin Ho Kelly.

Now the 54 year old is under negotiations to reprise the role - and he's already campaigning for 2007's Live Free or Die Hard film-maker Len Wiseman to helm the next project.
